We welcome our new digital literacy instructor, Jim Whisler. Jim will be teaching and coordinating all programming relating to computers, ereaders, and other electronics that our patrons are using, or attempting to use. Jim will be available Monday through Saturday for computer classes, individual computer tutoring, and assistance with electronic devices. Jim's hours will be flexible, both daytime and evening hours, and patrons can schedule appointments with him as needed. If you have diabetes, or someone in your family does, please join us at Monday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m. for Diabetes Academy. Diabetes Academy is a free class given by a Novo Nordisk Dabetes Educator to help you learn about managing diabetes. The curriculum includes diabetes management, covering basic diabetes information and terminology, as well as providing convenient tips for eating healthy and staying active. The library is pleased to host its first annual Local Authors Fair on Thursday, November 13 from 6:00-7:30 p.m., and invites all local authors to participate. The library will provide the space, and each author will have a table to display their works, available for purchase and signing. Readers can meet new authors, add to their personal collection, or purchase wonderful holiday gifts for friends and family. Help support local authors by attending the Local Author Fair.
